Exchange Vows In Church CeremonyMiss Carolyn Porter and Floyd Searcy Jr., exchanged wedding vows Saturday afternoon in the First Baptist Church in a setting of greenery accented by white blossoms and burning candles.Magnolia branches banked the wall and choir rail, forming r» background for a central arrangement of white chrysanthemums placed before a fifteen-branched candelabrum holding white tapers. A nine-branched candelabrum was at each side. Family pews were marked with ivy.The bride is the daughter of Mr, and Mrs. E. B. Porter and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Searcy. Tne Rev. Louis Kennedy officiated at the ceremony.Preceding the exchange of vows Miss Charlotte Porter, sister | of the, bride, sang “The Lord’s Prayer”, and during the ceremony, O Perfect Love.” Mrs. S.W. Fleming was organist. Candles were lighted by Wick Searcy and John Frank Searcy.Attending the bride were Miss Doris Starling, Gulfport, Miss., maid of honor, and Misses Shelba Gandy, Atlanta, and Barbara Harrison, bridesmaids. Floyd Searcy was best man for his son. Ushers were Rodman Porter, brother of the bride, Bruce Cherry.
