Miss Carolyn Mae Smith became the bride of William Irvin Brumbley in the First Church of the Nazarene.Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fulton Smith of Allen. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Brumbley of Salisbury.The Rev. John L. Parry performed the double ring ceremony on Saturday at 7 p.m. in a candlelight setting of white gladioli, apricot carnations and palms. A reception followed in the Nazarene Center.THE BRIDE was escorted to the altar by her father and given in marriage by her parents. She wore a floor - length gown of white Chantilly lace. The basque bodice, with its lace collar and long tapered sleeves, was accented with sequins and pearls. Five tiers of lace created the bouffant skirt which flowed in back to form the attached chapel - length train. Her veil of illusion was attached to a white lace Camelot, with pearl accents and her mantilla - type veil was completely edged in lace to match her gown. The bride carried a white Face and satin cross topped with white carnations accentedwith apricot sweetheart roses and baby's breath on a prayer book.Mrs. William Smart of Salisbury was matron of honor. She wore a floor - length gown of apricot silk chiffon. The bodice featured a square neckline and was trimmed with Veniselace -threaded with satin ribbon. A single apricot satin bow, with long streamers, accented the Empire waistline of the A-line skirt and a gathered panel lent back interest. She wore an apricot satin bow headpiece and carried a satin and lace cross with apricot carnations, sweetheart roses and baby’s breath.Miss Sandra Brumbley o f Salisbury, sister of the bridegroom. was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the Misses Brenda Brumbley of Salisbury, sister of the bridegroom. Faith Gravenor of Fruitland, Judy Layton of Salisbury, cousins of the bride, and Cathy Lee of Salisbury. They were dressed identically to the matron of honor. They carried satin and lace crosses of apricot carnations and baby’s breath.Miss Tracey Gravenor of! Salisbury, cousin of the bride, was flower girL She wore a floor-length apricot and white taffeta gown with an apricot satin ribbon at the waistline. She carried a basket of flower petals.Buddy Brumbley of Salisbury was best man for his brother. Ushers were Keith Fields of Laurel, Benji Brumbley of Salisbury, cousins of the brlde-i groom, William Smart, Glenn j Brown, both of Salisbury, and j Fulton Smith of Allen, brother j of the bride.; Master Ricky Prouse o f I Salisbury was ring bearer.Mrs. Donna Oneyan of Salisbury played the wedding music and accompanied the soloists. iMr. and Mrs. James Prouse of Salisbury.
