Vows Are Repeated At St. Mary'sAt one o’c lock in the afternoon on Sept. 22 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Patricia Ann Lawler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Lawler, 1H01 Riverview Rd., Sterling, became the bride of Thomas Joseph Ahern, sou of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ahern of Lombard. The Rev. Robert Sherry officiated and Steve and Randy Baumgart were altar boys.Music was provided by Mrs. Robert Fecht organist and Mrs. Daryl Knutsen vocalist.White baskets of green ferns with white doves were decorations in the church.An A-line silhouette gown of Chantilly lace over white bridal satin worn by the bride was designed in full length, with empire bodice, jewel neckline and long sleeves closed with small pearl buttons. The gown had a matching chapel train. A veil of bridal net with a lace headpiece encrusted with seed pearls was worn by the bride. She carried a cascade bouquet of blue and white carnations, white roses and baby’s breath.Attending the bride was her sister Eileen Lawler as maid of honor and Pat Hollenkamp and Colleen Tumock, college friends and Joanne Ahern, sister of the bridegroom, as bridesmaids. Their formal length gowns of floral print were in shades of blue. They wore matching straw picture hats and carried blue and white carnations and baby’s breath.John Cullerton was best man for the bridegroom and groomsmen were Barney Turnock, Matt Miller and William Law ler, the bride’s brother.ReceptionA buffet dinner and reception followed at Emerald Hill Country Club. Music was played by PatMRS. THOMASahersWasson at the organ.Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jurkens and Dr. and Mrs. John Webb were hosts and hostesses. Molly Lawler was at the guest book and Jill and Peggy Lawler, sister-in-law and sister of the bride, at the gift table.After a Wisconsin honeymoon the couple took up residence in Chicago.The bride graduated from Newman High School and Mundelein College, Chicago. A graduate from John Carroll university in Cleveland. Ohio, the bridegroom is a senior law student at DePaul University, Chicago.
