Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Van WykSeptemberMarie Elena De Haai, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Dick De Haai of Monroe became the bride of Floyd Dale Van Wyk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Van Wyk of Monroe, on September 17 at the First Baptist Church at Monroe.Rev. Wayne Anderson performed the double ring ceremony in the presence of 225 guests.The bride was attired in a empire waist floor length gown of silk nylon and imported hand clipped Chantilly lace. The gown featured a high neckline and gibson girl sleeves with lacecuffs. Her veil was of silk illusion, elbow length, and caught on a capulet of organza and lace petals. It was Chantilly lace-edged accented with seed pearls and sequins. She carried a-bouquet of lavender roses . and white stephonities. Maid of Honor was Cherry Tool. Bridesmaids were:Connie Sheeler, Elaine : McCongehey, and Teresa De Haai. They wore full 'length dresses of lavender 'dacron with a white flocked floral design pattern and * ribbon sashes of deep purple v velvet. They carried bouquets of sweetheartI roses around one large'mum.b; Larry Van Wyk served as tBest Man. Groomsmen were -Douglas Vander Linden, 'Marvin Stover, and James :* Dugger.:* Douglas Eugart, Lloyd -Uitermarkt, Rick Couman ;*and David Van Wyk served as ushers. The organist was Mrs. Howard Van Der Pol and the ^soloist was Howard Van Der JrPol who sang, “One Hand :One Heart” and “Wedding ;Prayer.” Julia De Haai presided at the guest book. A reception was held '.^following the ceremony inWeddingthe fellowship hall, Mrs. Bertha Van Wyk and Mrs. Ray McDaniel cut the cake. Mrs. Pearl Baker, Janice Patterson and Dorothy Miller poured punch and coffee.
