A wedding which will be of in terest to a wide circle of friends in Beckley and vicinity was that of Miss Versie Phillips of Shady Springs and Mr. Benjamin Frank lin Jervis of Peterstown, which occurred Sunday, September 3rd, in Princeton, the Rev. W. M. Mor rell, pastor of the Methodist Epis copal church, South, officiating. Mrs. Jervis, the attractive and accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milo G. Phillips of Shady Springs, is a graduate of Concord State Teacher's College, Athens. She has for several years been employed as a teacher in the schools of Raleigh county. Mr. Jervis is the son of Mr. John H. Jervis of Rich Creek, Va. He is at present employed by the State Road Commission and is located at Union Monroe county, where the young couple expect to make their future home.
