DeKay—l,t*royThere was a brilliant wedding at Loch Sheldrake, at 12:90 o'clock yesterday afternoon, the principals inthe affair being I)r. Richard DeKay, of Livingston Manor and Mies Nellie LeRoy, of Loch Sheldrake,There were about 900 guests present, among them the following from this city, where the bride, a former student at Wallklli Academy, has many friends: Mr and Mrs. B. P, Gordon and daughter, Mattie, Mrs, William Benton, Mrs. George Gardner, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. W. Jones. Mr. and Mrs. W. S Jones, Mrs. Hanlon, Miss Hanlon, Miss Grace Adamsand Miss EiU Knight.The bride is very popular at her home and bells were rung and cannon fired in honor of her marriage, and when the bridal party went to the depot to take the afternoon train on the O. and W. for New York a great crowd was gathered, who, to insure “good luck” to the happy pair, fairly deluged them with rice, and they were forced to dodge many pairs of old shoes well aimed at theirheads by friendly bands.The house was beautifully decorated for the o ‘casion, the result of thegood taste and work of MissesAdams and Knight, of this city, whohave been spending a few days at the bride’s home, assisting in the prep Jarations for this occasion. The presents were numerous and very nand some. Miss DeKay, of White Luke and Miss Maggie Carrier, of this city, acted as maids of honor and led thebridal procession into the parlors.After a short wedding tour Dr. De-Kay and his bride will take up their residence at Livingston Manor.
