Mattison-V olsen vowsexchanged April 29Carolyn Ann Mattison and Robert Paul Volsen were married April 29, 1989, at a 3 p.m. ceremony at Bethany Lutheran Church In Thompson. The double ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. James Knudson of Thompson.Parents of the couple are Hairy and Mariys Mattison of Thompson and Lester and Vemell Volsen of Wells, Minn.Karen Carpenter of Des Moines, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Sharon Mattison of Dickinson, Tex., sister-in-law of the bride, and Teri Lunning of Forest City, friend of the bride. The bride’s personal attendants were Patty Volsen of Clear Lake and LeAnn Volsen of Kiester, Minn., sisters-in-law of the groom.Randy Volsen of Clear Lake, brother of the groom, was best man. Ron Volsen of Kiester, Minn., brother ofthe groom, and Doug Wetzel of Maple Grove, Minn., served as groomsmen. Eric Volsen of Kiester, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.Guests were ushered and candles lit by Mike Lund, Chuck Messer and Todd Lunning, all of Forest City, and Scott Nehring of Wells, Minn., friends of the couple.The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Marie Mattison of Thompson. Another brother, Steve Mattison of Dickinson, Tex., escorted her father down the aisle behind her.For her wedding, the bride wore a white Rachel lace gown with sequins and pearls accenting the entire dress.
