ne was uum in unau raua uii 3. 1911. to James and Achsa Parsell Bingham His early years were spent on the family ranch.When his father became ill in 1918. the family moved to Kalispell and purchased a small farm near Kila where he attended first grade.The family returned to the Whit* lash area ranch in 1920. He finished his grad^school education at Bear Gulch Country School. His high school years were spent in Chester, Spokane and Havre where he graduated from high school in 1932 He returned to the family ranch and has lived there since.He married Beva L. Lester of Kalispell on Sept. 17. 1937. There were three daughters bom to this union. In addition to fanning and sheep and cattle ranching, he became active in the oil business in 1950 He and his partner drilled several welis for the Anaconda Copper Co. before going into business on their own. He aas been an independent oil producer with wells on thetana Oil and Gas Association. He also served as a director of the Liberty Hall in Whitiash and was a director of the original telephone coop built by ranchers years ago. He served as a school trustee at Deer Gulch and helped supervise the building of a new school house. In the late 1940s he completed a vacated two-year term as Liberty County Commissioner. He served for two years on the board of the Sweetgrass Ixxige in Chester.He is survived by his w ife of 58 years. Beva. of WTiitlash. three daughters, including Mrs Marvin Carol Belcher of Seattle. Marjorie Tenney of Spokane and Mrs. Gary Judith’ Wentling of Spokane; his sister, Olive Shepherd, of Whittier. Alaska and her daughter. Marilyn Rabb: 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and niecesHe was preceded in death by his parents.Funeral services were held today
