Castro, Karen Haase Are Married in Church RitesNewlyweds Mr. and Mrs. David 0, Castro are now at home lo their friends at 32-B Clark Homes, following their church wedding which took place August 25, at 3 o'clock in the afternoon at the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church,The Rev. Robert Hartman, pastor of the church, performed the double rings rites before an alter decorated with two large bouquets of white carnations.The new Mrs. Castro is the former Miss Karen Bruce Haase, daughter of 1st Sgt. Bruce L. Haase of Thailand and Mrs. Hazel Grodviant of Beloit, Wisconsin. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs, Gilbert Castro of Flagstaff.Organist for the traditional wedding marches was Mrs. John Coffin,Miss Carol Christensen was soloist and sang “We'll Walk with God and The Lord’s Prayer” with Mrs. Coffin playing the accompaniment.Given in marriage by her foster father, Howard Dudley, as her own father was unable to come here for the wedding,.Jl«* *;bride.. chose -• .a white silk formal length gown. It was fashioned with round neckline, and short sleeves and she wore long gloves. The neckline and waist was trimmed in lace and the bustle back formed a chapel train. Her finger tip veil was held in place by a crown of sequins and pearls. She carried white roses and ivy leaves atop a white Bible.Mrs. Albert Castro served as matron of honor and appeared in a street length gown of turquoise colored chiffon made with round neckline and short sleeves. She wore a matching colored pill box hat with short veil nnd her flowers were a colonial bouquet of turquoise colored carnations.Miss Karen Trussell was maid of honor. Her gown, accessories and flowers were identical lo the matron of honor.Little Miss Susan Secbrist, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Gilbert Sechrist was flower girl. She wore a gown similar to the bridesmaid and she carried a basket of roses.Jeffrey Castro, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Castro, was ring bearer.Albert Castro, brother of the bridegroom was best man. Ushers included Bill Johnson, David Wong, George Harlan, and Joe Valverde all of Flagstaff.Mrs, Dudley, foster mother of the bride, chose a dustry rose brocade gown with white accessories.Her corsage was a white cymbid-ium orchid,The bvidegroonris mother selected a pink silk suit with white accessories .Her flowers were also a while cymbidium. orchid.A reception followed the wedding in the Church hall at 4 o’clock. A wedding cake was cut and sewed. Mi’s. T. Waller Benson presided at liiG cake.In charge of the reception and presents were Mrs. Robert Leonard and serving were Mariann Trussell Lee Anne Coffin, Sandy Bangert, Susan Schutte and Kathy Boyer.The new Mrs. Castro is presently employed at die Hi D. Babbitt Motor Company.Her husband is attending Arizona State College and plans to study to become a Physical Therapist.Out of town guests who came for the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Howard Dudley and sons Robert and Dick of Beloit, Wisconsin, Mrs. Fred Slock of Santee, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gonzales of San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Paul Mor- • cno of National City, California.personal...Mr. and Mrs. John Holley returned from a vacation in Green-hills, 0.T where they visited their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. C.
