(A DOUBLE WEDDING CEREMONY Iā–  St. Matthew's Lutheran church at Chats worth, Iowa, was the scene at a very happy double wedding Wednesday afternoon, October S, 1928, whenthe solemn and holy nuptial vowa were taken by Miss Minnie Ludwigs, daughter of Mr. and Mva. Gerd. Ludwigs, of Chatsworth, and Albert Hucbrier, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Huebnor, northwest of Akron, and to Mias Martha Beeck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Boeck, east of Akron, and Henry Ludwigs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerd, Ludwigs.The ring ceremony was used and Rev, F, A. MesUo, of Akron, oHlciated in the presence of a large assemblage of relatives and friends of the contracting parties.The bridal party assumed places at the altar to the time of Lohengrin's, wedding march, tflayed by Miss Marie Degen. The bridesmaids and groomsmen were Miss Amanda Ludwigs and William Tiuelmer and Miss Clara Beeck and Gerd. Ludwigs, brothers and sisters of the brides and grooms. The brides were becomingly attired. Miss Ludwigs in a gown of blue taffeta and veil and Miss Beeck in a gown of blue georgette and veil, while their maids were attired in blue, gowns. The grooms wore blue serge suits. The decorations were very pretty, those in the church being worked out in pink and white and in the Ludwigs home lh pink, blue and white.Following the wedding ceremony, a reception was held for the newly-mar-rled couples in the Gerd. Ludwigs home, where a due dinner was served, the table waiters being Nora Os ter -thun, Anna Bceck, Ida Beeck, Freda Kluver, Anna Min lets. Rose Ludwigs, Kutliie hud wigs and Etta Kluver.The young people who have thus joined their fortunes are well known In the community to be of sterling character and worth, deservedly popular among a host of friends, who wish them all the joy and happiness and bestthings of life.Mr, and Mrs. Albert Huebner will reside on the place he has been farming jast of Akron. Mr; and Mrs. Gerd. Ludwigs will begin housekeeping next spring on the Reese Harris farm nearChatsworth.Relatives from a distance who were jresent at the wedding wore: Mr. and Mrs. John Papritss, of Two Dot, Mont.: Mrs. F. A. Kent, of Omaha, Nebr,; Mr. ,LUd Mrs. Walter Haack and Mr, and Mrs. Carl Wilkin, of Round Lake, Minn.A surprise shower was given for the contracting parties at the Ludwigs home in Chatsworth Sunday evening, attended by a large number of friends. The enacting at a mock wedding provided lots of amusement and there were other entertainment features that combined to make the event a most pleasant one. The young couples were the recipients of many handsome and useful presents.
