MRS. DILLARD GROVER RHODUSEnfield-RhodusThe First Christian Church of Olathe was the setting for the September 30th wedding of Sally Jean Enfield, Olathe, to Dillard Grover Rhodus. Kansas City, Missouri The Rev. Herschel Dougan read the ceremony which was written by the couple.Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Enfield, Hutchinson. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Grover Rhodus. formerly of Liberty, Missouri.The altar was decorated with three large candles in green and gold with which the bride and groom performed a candle lighting ceremony. Potted mums in bronze and yellow also accented the front of the church.The contemporary musical selections chosen for the processional and recessional were We’ve Only Just Begun and What the World Needs Now . Mrs. Earle Kifer, Olathe, was organist.Mrs. Mervin Penner. Olathe, read the love chapter. Corinthians 13, from the Bible.Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose a full length gown of moss green boucle accented with an inset bolero of multi-colored paisley. She4-H NewsNew’ officers were elected at the Sept meeting of the Johnson County 4-H Dog Club. They are: Cheryl Scott, president; I^eesacarried a bouquet of butterscotch roses and yellow spider mums.Maid of honor was Janet Enfield. Hutchinson, sister of the bride. Phyllis Kumorowski, Colorado Springs, Colorado, was bridesmaid. The bride’s attendants wore full-length dresses of gold boucle also featuring the multi-colored bolero insert. Each attendant carried a single longstemmed butterscotch rose.Bill Roosa of Independence. Missouri, acted as best man. Groomsman was Jerry Imhoff. Kansas City, KansasUshers were Bob Cordell, Gladstone. Missouri and Lynn Norton, Kansas City, Kansas.Registering guests and assisting at the reception which followed in fellowship hall were Mrs. Bennett Wilson. Arkansas City, sister of the bride, and Mrs. Charlie Enfield Jr., Hutchinson, sister-in-law of the bride.The bride is a graduate of Hutchinson high school, Hutchinson Community Junior College, and Kansas State University at Manhattan. She is employed as a reporter at the Daily News.Mr. Rhodus, a graduate of Liberty high school and the Kansas City Art Institute, is an artist-engraver at Hallmark Cards, Kansas City.
