o o oNot until today did the friends of Carl J. Loetz, a well known Indiana avenue business man, learn of his marriage to Miss Maud Core, which took place Tuesday at the home of tne bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles S. Core, at Defiance. O. The friends had been expecting the event but they did not know the date and so had no suspicions thereof when Mr. Loetz left on a little trip early in the week. Mr. and Mrs. Loetz are expected to reach here tomorrow evening or Sunday morning, when they will be given a fitting reception and a hearty welcome. The bride is one of Defiance's most popular and ac-complished young ladies and the La* Porte young .man is indeed fortunate in securing for his bride such a charming young lady. The groom is a weliknown LaPorte boy and his friends hasten to extend congratulations. Mr. and Mrs. Loetz will reside in this city.
