“Wildrest,” Buckland, Mass.The marriage of Miss Grace Whipple Higgs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. T. Kiggs of 54 Shelton avenue, to Allen Cicero Curtis, eon of Mr. and Mrs. Cicero B. Curtis, took place in the Suminerfield M. E. church last evening at 8 o’clock. The admission to the church was by card only and on account of the large number of invitations issued the galleries were reserved | for the invited guests. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. William H. Burgwin, pastor of the Summerfield M. E. church, assisted by the Rev. A. K. Foster of 4he Olivet Baptist church.Miss Roberto Riggs as maid of honor, while Miss Mabelle Louise Dunlap of Providence, Miss Harriet Merle Ratli-geber, Miss Mathilda Strack and Miss Bessie Ailing, cousin of the bride, were bridesmaids. Frederick White was best man and Arthur Bristol, Carroll S. Austin. Leon Ailing and Crichton Stirling were the ushers. Herbert Hodgson, the organist of the Calvary Baptist church, presided at the_organ.The date of the wedding was set for October 2 as that is the fiftieth wedding anniversary of the bride’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ailing, both of whom were in attendance at the festivities. Following the ceremony at the church a reception was held at the bride's home on Shelton avenuefrom 8; 30 until 10 o’clock.
