Carl Wortman claims he was injured when he slipped and fell in the UHHS Brown Memorial Hospital emergency room Jan. 2, 1999. He is seeking $25,000 in damages.• Gordon Finlaw, Jr., 364 Mill St., Conneaut, filed a lawsuit against Reserve Environmental Services, 4633 Middle Road, Ashtabula Sept. 27. Finlawclaims that ReserveEnvironmental Services and one unnamed party failed to tell him the results of annual physicals that showed that he was developing respiratory diseases and injuries. Finlaw also claims that he was exposed to harmful gasses and wasrequired to perform his duties in an unsafe place of employment.
