Worrell, state supervisor of elementary Education, in which he stressed' the hn-pomtance of improving reading instructions. Mrs. Lawrence a supervisor of the Roanoke county schools also gave an interesting talk on schoolsupervision.At this session delegates were ep-pointed to attend the annual Virginia Educational Association, which meets In Richmond, Thanksgiving week. They are Mr. and Mrs. Geo. W. Tyler, Curtis Ranrsey, Mrs. W. E. Bennett, D. A. Justus, C, J. Davis, Jr., Mrs. G. W. Law, Miss Mary Burgess, Miss Martha Turner, Miss Irene Bennett,Miss Cl ay ds Smith, Miss Louise Via, Miss Inez Hutcherson, Miss Odell Wright, Miss Mary Maxey and Miss Ruth Robertson, Group conferences were held for the open and two room schools hi the. high school department, to discuss matters pertaining to their schools, and school, supplies were distributed, and the Institute adjourned at one o’clock.Mr. and Mrs. H, G. Motley, of Sago, ahounce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Nannie Elizabeth, to Willard, Coleman Bennett, of . Rocky Mount, son of Mr .and Mrs. Richard Bennett. The wedding will take place In. the earlyfall.
