Wickens-fialtoher.At seven o'clock Wednesday the merry and yet solemn peal of bell notes at St. Mary's Catholic church rang out the beginning of the ceremony that made Hugh Wickens and Miss Della Gallagher one. The happy couple were attended by Patrick Wickens, of North Vernon, a brother of the groom, and Miss Mayme Keen, of Indianapolis, a cousin of the bride. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Aoersig, of Yorkville, Indiana, assisted by Father Ficbter. The music was of a high order and fitted the service most perfectly—an Italian harp nnder guidance of a master hand. At times it burst forth rapturously filling the grand room of worship and theu it would die away to'the sllghest breath of a tone. The holy music, the grand service of the church ceremony, the sweet bride and the manly, noble groom, together with a number of interested intimate friends, both Catholic and Protestant, made an occasion long to be remembered. The bride who has long been a member of the excellent corps of clerks at the Gold Mine, was most kindly remembered by her former fellow clerks, who with the proprietor and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Daluibert, attended in a body.No young couple haye married in Decatur county in recent years that have more friends than have Mr. and Mrs, Hugh Wickens. They will reside, here and after a short wedding trip will be at home to their many friends, tfr. Wickens is one the leading lawyers of this city, and has a lucrative practice, being the senior member of that popular firm, Wickens A Osborn. The bride is the daughter of Hugh Gallagher and wife. They have the congratulations and best wishes of the whole community as they go out into the battle of life together. They have both already won their way into the affections of the people._
