The bridegroom is the son of Capt. and Mrs. J. F. Sugg of London, England.The Rev. Walter Mertz officiated at the double ring ceremony. The couple exchanged vows before a trellis entwined with fern. Other decorations were baskets of white gladioli and chrysanthemums.A program of nuptial music was given by Mrs. Margaret Palmer, organist and Mrs. Forest LaRoe, aunt of the bride, soloist.Given in marriage by her father, the bride was lovely in a gown of Alencon lace over satin featuring a sabrina neckline, pointed waist, long sleeves ending in points over the hands and full skirt of tulle over satin. Her butterfly veil of illusion was attached to a wreath of white flowers and brilliants. Her Colonial bouquet was of pink sweetheart roses.Miss Margie LaRoe, sister ofthe bride, was maid of honor. She wore a dress of peacock blue peau de soie featuring cap sleeves, pointed waist, sabrina neckline with a headdress of peau de soie bow and blue tulle veil. Her bouquet was of pink sweetheart roses.James A. Rhyne of Gainesville was best man and ushers were Orville Moseley and JamesM. Hill IV.Mrs. LaRoe, mother of the bride, wore an empire sheath of pink brocade with white accessories. Her corsage was of pinkbutterfly orchids.A reception was held in the social hall of the church. The bride’s table was centered with a three tiered wedding cake, made by the bride’s mother. Mrs. Glen A. LaRoe was in charge of decorations, assisted by Mrs. Don Haselton. Mrs. James A. Rhyne, Gainesville, presided at the punch bowl. Cutting the cake were Mrs. Arthur A. Clark of Mount Dora, sousin Of the bride, and Mrs. Earl E. LaRoe, Eustis, sister-in-law of the bride. Ver-dual Hamlin is program chairman.Executives to hear George Alexander BowieMembers of the Lake County Executive Club will hear George Alexander Bowie, a holder of the Freedom Foundation’sGeorge Washington Gold Medal “for outstanding achievement in bringing about a better understanding of the American Way of Life,” when they hold their meeting Tuesday evening, Oct. 13 at the Leesburg Community building.Bowie, a popular lecturer at several American colleges and universities, is popular also as an inspiration lecturer at conventions and conferences. He has spoken at many of them in almost every state of the Nation.In between lecturing and writing, Bowie travels widely. He obtained his education in colleges on both sides of the Atlantic, and during World War II was,a Naval officer assigned to the Pacific Fleet Amphibious Forces where he served as a personal counsellor to Marines and Seabees in combat areas.He is the author of four books which include, “What Europe Told Me,” and “Snap Goes Your Judgment.” ;A veteran of the platform for seventeen years, Bowie has appeared in Canada numerous times, and is listed in the directories of the country’s business and professional associations asa “key speaker.For traveling the bride wore a blue and white checkered linen sheath with white acces-sories.JThe couple will reside in .
