Rose, Summit avenue, were hostesses at breakfast at the North wood Country Club on Sunday last, in honor of Miss Helen Strouse and Mr. Charles A. Kaufman.Kaufman-Strouse Wedding.The marriage of Miss Helen May Strouse, daughter of Mrs. Max Strouse, Chatsworth street, and Mr. Charles A. Kaufman, of New Orleans, took place on Monday evening, Sept. 27th, at 6 o’clock, at the home of the bride. Dr. I. L. Rypins performed the ceremony, which was witnessed by relatives and a few intimate friends. Miss Adele Kaufman, New Orleans, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Jean Rose, Summit avenue, were bridesmaids. Mr. Harold Kaufman, brother of the groom, was the best man. The bridal dress was of white satin and lace, and the veil was of tulle, in cap effect, with orange blossoms. The bridal bouquet was of orchids and roses. The bridesmaids were dressed in pink, and carried old fashioned bouquets of roses and sweet peas. After the ceremony, a dinner was given at the St. Paul Hotel, for relatives and members of the bridalEarty. An informal reception was eld in the Palm Room of the St. Paul Hotel, from 9 to 12. Mr. and Mrs. Kaufman will reside in New Orleans.
