It was of white satin peau, with a fitted Empire waist and floor-length sheath skirt. The neckline, sleeves and hemline were trimmed with Galloon, reembroidered lace, and seed pearls. A coachman train was attached at the shoulders and edged in lace. Her four-tier veil was adorned with lace applique and attached to a pearl-trimmed lace crown. Her for-bride when she and Corp. Barkman left on their wedding trip. She also wore a corsage of white orchids.Mrs. Barkman graduated from LaMoille high school and the Rockford School of Business. She was a secretary at the Westclox plant in Peru beforeher marriage.Corp. Barkman graduatedfrom LaMoille high school, worked at the Houghton elevator in LaMoille before entering service. He is stationed at Ft. Dix, N. J., where he and his bride will make a temporary home.Miss Barbara Barkman sat at the guest book at the reception in the church parlors, attended by 200. At the gift table were Misses Connie Martin and Renee Piper. Cousins of the bride, Mrs. Ardelle Stuepfert,Mrs. Calvin Faber, cut the wedding cake, and punch was ^ qserved by Miss Gloria Ham- Oeorge Dracher. Mrs. Duwayne Sterling, wpoured coffee and waitresses NJ ote 50 Y were Misses Celeste Bauer andConnie Bauer.Olive green wool was chosen as the travel ensemble of thehip Com-t Wednes-m. in the yer. Mrs.will be embers ofinal bouquet was of white Iceberg pompons, centered with white orchids and accented with fresh, Coffee foliage.Maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Miss Ann Ultch, and bridesmaids were Misses Margaret Christensen and Diana Barkman, a sister of the bridegroom. Their gowns were of American Beauty rose peaubons. Their headpieces were circular veils attached toclusters of self roses. Theycarried flowing, cascade bouquets of light pink Elegance carnations, centered with red Happiness roses, and enhancedwith fresh Coffee foliage.Corp. Barkman’s attendants were a twin brother, Ronald Barkman, as best man; brother-in-law, Beryl Becker, andCharles Ultch, the bride’s brother. Allen Stuepfert, cousin of the bride, and RichardFamily dinner Sunday, honored Mr. and Mrs. George C. Bruce, 508 Park Avenue west, who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Mr.-Bruce has been a watchmaker for 56 years, and a Princeton business man for many years, ness man for many years.The former Jane Ricker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. H. Ricker, Elgin, and George( Bruce, also of Elgin, were married Nov. 30, 1916, at the home of the bride’s parents.' They have two sons, Elliott,Walnut, and George Bruce, Jr., Princeton, and three grandsons.
