E. J. Hartzler, Belleville; Pa, were united in marriage at 2:00 p. m. on Fiday, Novembei 23, 195b, at the Sugar Creek Men-nonite church near Wayland.Rev. Vernon Geng performed the ceremony before two baskets of white gladioli, yellow and bronze pom poms. Rev. Nelson E. Kaufwman, Secretary of Home Misisons, Elkhart, Ind., assisted.A male quartette composed o. Melvin Lapp, Atgien, Pa., Alfred Jr. Yoder, Garden City, Mo., Ben Eberly, New London, Mo.., ana Stanlee Kauffman, Elkhart, Ind., sang, “Christ, We Do All Adore Thee”, “O, Perfect Love,” “The Lord’s Prayer,” and The Lord Bless You and Keep You.”The bride was attired in awhite gown of brocaded satin styled with a Peter Pan collai and long pointed sieves. She carried a bouquet of red roses and was attended by her two sisters, Ardith and Marcia, both wearing identical gowns of rust and gold. They each carried a colonial bouquet of pompoms centered witha large mum.,The groom, wearing a charcoal grey suit, was attended by Royce Brunk, LaJunta, Colo., and Raymond Byler, Belleville, Pa.The ushers were Gerald Freyenberger, Royden Boshart, Gene Wyse and Floyd Hostetler.Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Swedes-burg Parisn Hall for approximately 150 guests.Tne bridal couple cut the firsi piece of wedding cake aftei which Mi's. Wilbert Graber, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. Paul Ren-no, sister of the groom, cut the remainder of the cake whichwas served to the guests.The bride is a graduate of the Wayland high school and orHesston College, Hesston, Kans., and at present teaches grade school near- Wpyland, Iowa.The groom is a graduate oi Kishacaquillas high school, Belleville, Pa., and has recently completed two years of alternate service at Hannibal, Mb., and is novmiployed by Leonard Leichty.After a short wedding trip, the Dridal couple will be at home in Noble, Iowa.
