He is now serving his third term, and so far has given unbounded *itisfaetion. He is a gentleman whose financial views are considered just about right, and this idea is substantiated by the able and successful manner in which he has conducted the finances of Kearney county. Mr. Stein is also a lawyer of no little ability, and has had a geat deal of legal business in the past. At present however he attends strictly to his official duties and to the advancement | and development of his county. He has a neat little home in Minden and quite a i tract of land in close proximity.MR JOEL HULL.j The above named gentleman was one of the first settlers of Kearney countv, and» y whas seen it grow from nothing into what she is to-dav. To Mr. Hull’s personal and unceasing efforts is greatly due the ad-! vanced and prosperous condition of this | portion of Nebraska, as he has ever been; identified w ith every matter of improvement. He is a man whom Fortune has smiled upon, and despite several reverse* he is to-day one of the 1**81 situated citizens, financially speaking, of Kearney county. As suggested, he is regarded in the light of an energetic gentleman, a true friend, and valuable citizen, and all who know him look upon him in the light of a representative man. He is now building alarge hotel at Minden, and contemplates the erection of several other buildings this season.
