Double Ring £Rites ReadAt St. Paul's\O!11e:TTaeIIbririCiS'bbobVbon8t(ssfii1sitSt. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran church, Chicago Heights, was the scene of a candlelight wedding ceremony when Miss June Marie Schmeckpeper, industrial nurse at Victor Chemical works, and Herschcl Lee Stewart of Crete, chemical engineer at the same plant, spoke their nuptial vows at four p. m. Saturday, November 17.The bride, given in marriage by her father, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Schmeck-peper, 1421 Vincennes avenue. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Stewart of Conrad. Iowa. They will make their home at 69G Jefferson street,Crete, after a trip to Florida.The pastor, the Rev. Arthur A.15rauor, read the lines of thedouble ring service. Palms and white pompons formed a background for rites. “The Lord'sPrayer and Oh Perfect Love were sung by the bride's aunt.jp Mrs, Hay Seehauson. who was accompanied by Mrs. PhyllisKoenig, organist. Mrs. Koenigalso played the traditional wedding marches.Ice blue satin designed with a Queen Anne neckline and brief train gathered at the sides was worn by the bride. A matching satin cap held- in place her ice j .blue French silk illusion veil. She : carried a white Bible topped with a white orchid, stephanotis and trailing ivy.All wearing forget-me-not blue satin, the bride’s attendants carried bronze feathered chrysanthemum swirl cascade bouquets. They were Miss Dolores Barber, cousin of Miss Sc h meek peper, as maid of honor; Mrs. Lester Rudy and Mrs. Wilfred Ambeau, Jr., her classmates; and Emily Schmcckpeper, the junior bridesmaid. In a pale blue satin gown. Susan Gay Schmeckpeper was her cousin’s flower girl.Lloyd Mahonc acted as be^t man. Groomsmen were Walter Schmeckpeper, brother of the i bride, and Herbert Schlinkert.Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held in St. I Paul’s school hall. Among thej out-of-town guests were those from Ksranaba and Royal Oak,11 Mich.; Conrad, Iowa; Hammond,, Ind.: Pittman, N. L: Mendota, Downey, Chicago, Eureka, Joliet.
