VINYARDWEDDINGOne of the loviiest wedding* of the season took place on Saturday, November 22, when Mias Ruth Chalmers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Chalmers of Vina avenue, became the bride of Edgar L. Vinyard, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Vinyard of Judaon avenue, in a candlelight ceremony at the first Presbyterian church of Highland Park, the Rev. Louis W. Sherwin, officiating.. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white satin. Victorian off' the-shoulder style with inset yoke of white net trimmed with seed pearls, and wore a necklace of seed pearls s?nt to her by her aunt in Scotland. Her fingertip veil of white net was fashioned to a juliet cap of seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of tiny white chrysanthemums and ivy and a removable cordage of white orchids.Mrs. Robert Clarkson, sister of the bride, attended as matron of honor, and the bridesmaids were Mrs. Andrew McMillan (Phyllis Udell), Miss Gloria Jeanne Gold?n and Miss Milnore Hoel of Los Angeles, California The attendants wore identical gowns of hyacinth blue taffeta styled with bustles, and matching mitts and net halo hats. The matron of honor carried yellow chrysanthemums with ivy while the bridesmaids* bouquets were the • same except that their chrysanthemums were bronae color. * ' * ' v : iThe bride's nep(iew, Tommy Clarkson, who acted as ring bearer, wore a white satin suit and carried the ring on a whit? satin and lace pillow. His three year old sister, Drue Anne, flower girl, wore a full length gown of white satin with matchings poke bonnet, and carried a tiny basket of small white chrysanthemums.John Scruggs of Peoria served as best man and the ushers were Raymond Hayes and Raymond Johnson of Highland Park and Daniel Whitney of Chicago.Mrs. John Rink accompanied by Mrs. Harold N. Mrs. Chalmers Wore a gown of plum color and hat of matching flowers and gold leaves, and a‘ corsage of roses. The bridegroom's mother chose a gown of powder blue crepe and wore a hat of rose colored flowers and a corsage of sweetheart roses. / „ ; 'A reception for 200 guests followed the ceremony at the Glencoe Woman’s Library club.Af er a week’s honeymoon trip through the east, Mr. Vinyard and his bride will be at home at 307 Vine avenue.RETURNED llbMEOn Monday, Miss Betty Rubly, who had been visiting at the home of h *r uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Harry D.
