[OBNING, NOVEMBER 27, 1914.Woman Burns to Death.While preparing her little boy for hool about 8 o'clock Monday morn-g the clothes of Mrs. W. T. Watts, 8t of Dameron, ignited from a King ►ater stove and she received injuries om which she died about 4 o’clock lesdgy morning Mrs. Watts was evidently standing o near the stove and the front of »r clothing was at the point of nition before she discovered her inger. 8he started to move back hen her apron caught Are and in an stapt she was enveloped* in flames. »e ran into the yard anlt;^the stifT ile from the north soon reduced her othing to shreds. Mr. Watts was the barn and rcn to his wife's as-stance. He seizod her and carried *r into the house and quickly latched the remaining fragments om his wife’s baked bodf. The irning clothing caught a carpet on ■e, but the blaze wa» soon eztin-lished.Dr. McAfee, of Elsberry. was tele-loned for and when ho arrived und Mrs. Watt8 writhing in pain, er entire body from her knees up as a solid mass of blisters and iked flesh. He proceeded as best s could to relieve her suffering, but ) realized that her condition was syond human aid and that the end as only a matter of a few hours at 8t. Her limbs, stomach, breast, ps and back were baked brown, her ce waB blistered almost beyond ree-mition and much of her hair was irned from her head. Dr. McAfee id it was the. most emaciated form ever witnessed.Mrs. Watts was consciong all day onday. She realized sW could not •cover and called her ^ong to her ‘dside and told them they would •on be deprived of the guiding hand a mother and implored them to •solve to live the life of ^he right-)us. She bore her sufferings with msiderable fortitude, expiring early nesday morning.Mrs. Watts i8 survived by a hus-ind and seven children, one son be-ig by a former marriage.
