Instead of two heart* there were four, and all were heating wildly in unison as a team bore them out of Wilmington after the shades of night had fallen Monday. Up over historic old Hogback they climbed slowly, and proceeded faster on the long descent toward the Connecticut, Hot stopping until West Brattle boro was reached. Here the horses were exchanged for others and the journey continued on to Winchester, N. H., where lodgings were procured at the hotel for the night. She was taken into their family when a baby, hut her name has never been legally chang'd. Mr. Russell Is a mason by trade and lives about one-half mile from Wilmington village. Sufford has boarded in the family. The girl Is only a child In years and appearance, and when in Brat-tleboro Wednesday wore short dresses.Wilder is a carpenter by trade, and an Industrious young man. This is not his firs! venture in matrimony, the county court having free! him from Irksome bonds by a divorce at the last se-wlun. The flint Mrs. Wilder wa* a young woman from Bruokiyu, V. V., who came to Wilmington for a summer vacation. Wilder won her for his own. but after six weeks they Separated. His divorce was granted on the ground of Intolerable seventy. Wilder's present wife Is mature appearing for a girl of 1*1 and good looking.The Canady and Russell families live near together and the young i**ople wild they were going to Wilmington village to attend a social gathering. When they did not return the parent* of the giria became alarmed and telephoned in every direction. The two couples were located at Hinsdale, V. II . Tuesday forenoon by Deputy Sheriff K. W. McClure uf Brattlebnro. who was directed to ratftMi the arrest of the four. The marriage vow# had already been solemnised, however.
