ODJ -----O-----V’She's a Hustler. Some time during last summer Mrs. Ella Eggleston came here from Angola and visited friends a few days, going to Mason, Cass county, Mich., from here, where she also visited. August 2d she, in company with William Eggleston, of that place, applied to Justice W. H. Smith to be mar-ried. As they had a license and everything looked all right the genial W. H. accommodated them and thought no more of the matter until Tuesday when a Mr. Eggleston, of Angola, claiming to be her husband, arrived in the city and informed him that he had been told that he (Mr. Smith) married the couple. This Mr. Smith acknowledged to be correct whereupon Mr. Eggleston, of Angola, said he did not know of any divorce being granted her to enable them to have any such a ceremony legally performed. Today he is in Goshen looking up the records. He and William Eggleston, husband No. 2, bear the same name, but are no relation whatever. He is a well appearing man, and while he does not make any threats will undoubtedly make things warm for the couple in Mason if things are not as they should be.
