Numerous Couples United at Thanksgiving and Day Before— Scenes at the Depot Not for a long time have so many, marriages been crowded into the space of twenty-four hours as on Thanksgiv ng eve and the following day. Wed ding festivities were in progress in every part of the city on Wednesday evening, and at the Middlesex street railroad station the platform was crowded from 6 o'clock till after 9, and the kissing of brides and bridegrooms was indulged to an unusual extent, while the confetti fell like snow upon everybody who ventured on ear than newlyweds. Most of the weddings not published in Wednesday's edition are covered below. Flynn—Little Walter Flynn, advertising man ager of the ©. B. Coburn Co. and Miss Athleen Fy Little, a charming Fanny resident of Pawtucketville, were mar ried Wednesday afternoon, the crta mony vetry performed at St. Columba's church by the pastor, Rev. John A. Pegan. John F. Meehan acted as best man, while the maid of honor was Mrs. John F. Meehan, a sister of the write. Litte Dorothy K. Murphy, niece of the bride, acted as flower girl. The bride wore chiffon taffeta and carried a show er bouquet of lilies of the valley. The maid of honor was attired in yellow marquistite over yellow taffeta and carried chrysanthemums. The flower Bir) worn white embroidered voile over pink taffeta and carried a basket of pink roses. At the close of the cere mony the bridal party repaired to the home of the bride’a 'mother, Mrs. Cath erine F. Little, 815 Moody street, where Tunchean was served. The happy couple, who were the recipients of nu merous wedding gifts, left in the even ing on a wedding tour to New York. After Jan. 1 they will be at home to their friends at $15 Moody street. No cards, Gendreau—Emond Frank Gendreau and Misa -Sarah Ewiand were married Wednesday after noon, the ceremony being performed at St. Louis’ church by Rev. L. Bedard. The witnesses were Onesime Gendreau and Damasa Emond, respective fathers of the bride and bridgroom. At the ‘glosé of the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Anthima Bonin, 273 West Sixth street. After a brief wedding tour the couple will make their home at 84 Ennell street. Matte—Prince Jefrey C. Matte, a popular conductor for Mie Bay, State Street Railway Co. ,and Miss Florida M. Prince were mat ched Wednesday evening, the ceremony being performed at St. Joseph's rectory, by Rev. Augustin Graton, J.ML1. Singie Matte and Joseph Dalphond acted as witnesses. The bride wore a kite traveling suit and carried Jack roses. At the close of the ceremony a recep tion was held at the home of the bride grooms parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sinale Matte, 3. Endicott streeL After a brief wedding tour,the couple will make their home at 72 Merrimack Street. Gray—Bialadelt Thomas Gray and aiss Anna C. Blais dell were matted late Wodnesday af ternoon, the ceremony being performed at St. Michael’s rectory by Rev. James Lynch,. The bride wore white silk with*overlace and beaded trimming and she carried white chrysantha anums. She was attended by Miss Florence M. Gray, who was attired in pink silk and carried pink carnations. The best man was Luke J. Gray. At the close of a reception held at ‘the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Anna S. Bimsdell, 75 Hampshire street, the couple rest on a honeymoon trip and upon their return they will make their home at TS Hampshire, Streat. Carufel—St. Ives Joseph Emile Carufel and Miss Marie Rose. St. Ives were married Wednesday afternoon at St. Joseph's rectory by Rev. C. A. Paquette, O.Af1. The bride wore a biue traveling suit and carried roses and flies of the valley. She was attended by Francois Vanasse, while the bridegroom's witness was Horaca Carafel. Following the ceremony a , a reception was held at the home of the bridegroom's parents, 126 Gershom av enue. After an extended trip the county wil make their home at 23 Sarah avenue. Magee—Device John J. Magee and Miss Nora A. De vine were married Wednesday after noon at St. Columba's church by the pastor, Rev. John A. Degan. The bridesmaid was Miss Marguerite Kav anaugh of New Bedford, while the Beat man was Michael Mesitt of this city. The bride wore a dress of white pussy willow taffeta with pearl trimmings, and a white picture hat with ostrich plumes and carried bride roses and ties of the valley. The bridesmaid wore pink Georgette crepe and mulle and a white picture hat with pink os trich plumes and carried pinks. After the ceremony a wadiing reception was held at the home of the bride’s sister. Mrs. Join McDonald, 203 Mr. Hope kieat. Over a hundred guests were present, Including friends and relatives from Boston, Cashrifes, New Bed ford and Somerville. There were many beautiful gifts. Me. and Mrs. Magee left on their honeymoon tour during the evening. After Jan. t they will be at home to friends at 1639 High [street. Ros—Brabant William Quested Roft and Miss Anna Ernestine Brabant of Tewksbury were married at the parsonage of the Tewks bury Congregational church Wednes day, the ceremony being performed by Rev. Sarah A. Dixon. ' The couple were unattended. Molloy—Leahy Michal” Francis 3 Molloy and Miss Catherine ‘Theresa Leahy were married Wednesday afternoon at the Sacred Heart rectory by Rev. John P. Flynn, OMT. ‘The witnesses were John Mol loy, brother of the bridiagroom, and Miss Beatrice Leahy, sister of the bride. Maher—Murphy Thomas F. Maher and Miss Mary A. Murphy were married late yesterday afternoon at the Sacred Heart rectory at Rav. James T. McDermott, O.Mi. Peter L. Murphy acted as best man and Miss Grace C. Murphy as bridesmaid. Mitchell—Irvine The marcriage of Miss Fannie R. Ir vine, of 61 Tolman avenue, this city, to Charles B. Mitchell, son of ex-Mayor and Mrs. Elory H. Mitchitl of Saco, Me, was announced in the lntter city Wednesday afternoon, ‘The couple were Married in Lowell on Sepe 16 and kept the matter‘a secret from their friends until they went to Saco for the holidays o8 Irvine se well known among the younger set of this city. Mr. Mitchell is a former student of the Lowell Textile school and for some time has been employed at the Saco-Lowell ma chine shops in this city. Timothy Callahan of St. Patrick's church, when Miss Helen Elizabeth, eldest daughter of 3fr. and Mrs. Michael Chilen of Clairestreat, became the bride of Mr. John 3. Linnehan. The bride was becomingly attired in a gown of white all crops de chine, embroid ered and ornamented with pearls. Cullen, a sister of the bride, was attited in pinks charmeuse trimmed with rosebuds and silver lace. She also wore a picture half of pink satin and carried roses. Mr. Edward F. Linnehan, brother of the groom, was heat man.’ The house was tastefully decorated with roses and chrysanthemums. At the conclusion of the marriage ceremony a wedding sup per was served and reception held at the home of the bride's parents, 57 Clairs street, where the young couple received the felicitations of a large number of their friends. The gifts were numerous and beautiful. The bridal couple started on a honeymoon trip to New York, Philadelphia and Washing ton, and will be at home to her friends at 11 Bourne street after Jan. 1 No cards. Dewie—Jordan Wiliam H. Downs and Miss Marie T. Jordan were united in marriage, Wednesday evening at St. Michael' rectory by Rev. Francia J. Mullen. Miss Jennia N. Downs acted as bride mend and Joseph Jordan as beat man. The bride was attired in a blue broadcloth traveling ault and wore a picture hat and carried a clister of Uhes of the valley. The bridesmaid wore green travelling attired with picture hat to match, and carried ‘a bouquet of chrymiathemums’. After December 1 the couple will make their home at 35 Eustia aventua, Stein—Regan Frank P. Stein of Newtonville and Miss Vera A. Regan of this city were married Wednesday afternoon, the ceremony being performed at the Im maculate Conception rectory by Rev. Lawrence J. Tighe, OMI, pastor. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Elizabeth J. Regan, while the best man was Frank King of Concord. The bride wore white satin with trimmings of lace and she wore a pietura hat and carried bridal rosea. The tridea maid was attired a crepa dachine and she carried violate. A reception was held at the home of the bride, 252 Concord Street, and later in the even ing Mr. and Mra, Steta left on a wed ding trip. On their return they will be in Newtonville.
