HUMPHREYS-SMITH.Miss Esther Humphreys, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Griffith G. Humphreys, Route 2, Emporia, and Russell Smith, son of Mr, and Mrs. James Smith. Alien, were married at 4:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the^First Methodist church parson-ageJ Rev. Hugh B. Fouke read the service. Miss Virginia Humphreys and Arthur Smith were the attendants. Only the immediate families of the -couple were present.The bride wore a soldier blue alpaca dress with black accessories. Her corsage was of white gardenias. Miss Humphreys wore blue crepe dress with black accessoriesA reception was held at the home of the bride's parents immediately following the wedding. Present, besides the guests of honor, were: Mr. and Mrs. GriffithHumphreys, Mr. and Mrs. James Smith, Mrs. N. M, Bailor, Mrs. S. J. Smith, Arthur Smith and Kenneth Humphreys, Wichita: Miss Thelma Macomber, Emporia; and Virginia, Arthur, Hylton, Elmer, Junior, Ruth, William and Elsie Humphreys.Mr. and Mrs Smith will live in Wichita where Mr. Smith works for the Boeing Aircraft company.
