SOCIAL NOTESAND NEWSLast Thursday evening a pretty wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Shisler of Smithvillewhen their daughter Grace was united in marriage to Ward C. Metsker of Sterling. Twenty-five of the near relatives and friends gathered at the beautiful home to witness the event. At 6:30 the couple, accompanied by Mis3 Mabel Shisler, bridesmaid, and Homer Metsker, groomsman, made their appearance amid beautiful tones of a classic wedding march played by Ada Shisler. The bride appeared in a pretty lawns-down garment and the groom in conventional black. The ceremony was solemnized by Rev. D. R. McFadden, and congratulations followed in regular order. The guests were then invited to the dining room where two sumptuously prepared tables awaited them. After partaking of the many dainties that ladened the large tables the guests returned to the parlor where the bride and groom were presented with many useful and valuable gifts.
