Jr., with a crystal shower and bridge in the hostess’ home, 106 Bradford ave.Yellow and white flowers and fern decorated the rooms where guests vied for the bridge trophies. High score prize, a crystal bottle of perfume, was won by Miss Celeste Bennett, and consolation prize, a bowl of gold fish, by Mrs. J.,M. Hargrove.Mrs. Howell presented the hon-oree with her wedding present, a silver vegetable dish and cover.The dining room table was laid with an antique lace cloth, centered with a silver bowl of yellow and white chrysanthemums and flanked at each end by yellow tapers in silver candelbra. Guests were served gold colored ice cream and gold iced cakes on trays centered with yellow chrysanthemums.Those present besides the hon-oree, Miss Cane, and hostess, Mrs. Howell, were the Misses Evelyn Frazier, Ruth Adler, Rebecca Crow, Frances Mabry. Celeste Bennett of Jacksonville, Fla.; Marine Mabry, Carol Bolling, Mary Lou O’Rourke, Mrs. J. M. Hargrove, Mrs. Charles Winnow and Mrs, Herman Lambert. Tea guests were: Mrs. M. A. Martin, Miss Claudia Pitard, Miss Edwina Pitard. Mrs. J. J. Mabry, Mrs. R. J. Milling, Mrs. T. O. Howell, Mrs. J. L. Moore of New Orleans, La„ and Miss Shirley Schaub of New Orleans.
