Brookfield YouthMarries Laclede (iirlMr. James E. Byrd, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Byrd, of this city, and Miss Irene M. Harris, daughter of Mrs. Gertrude Harris, of Laclede, were united in marriage, Wednesday, November 18. at Chillicothe. Missouri.The groom was graduated from the Brookfield High School in the Class of 1940, and for the past tw;enty months has been employed by the Brookfield Chickeries.The bride was graduated from the Laclede High School in the class of 1940, and is now employed by the Linn County Agricultural Conservation Association at Linneus.Jimmy returned to Fort Leavenworth. Kansas, Friday, to resume duty with the armed forces.The wedding dinner was served, following the ceremony, at the home of the groom's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Applegate.Best wishes are extended.
