Lorraine Lindblad WedsAt St. Joseph's ChurchsOne of the Thanksgiving Day nuptial services was the wedding of Lorraine Lindblad, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William N. Lindblad of Berkeley, and David Countryman of Tacoma, Wash., which was solemnized at 10 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Church. Rev. Richard P. Meade read the service. The church was decorated with pink and white chrysanthemums, bouvardias, calla lilies and scores of white tapers.wT]A]ViTV,V,S-s.11t,e-reT.of'r.r-)hul\eThe pretty bride wore a gown of pearl-pink slipper satin, with fitted bodice, long sleeves and a full skirt with a train. Her veil was fingertip length and she carried an arrangement of pink and white bouvardias and begonias.Mrs. Thomas L. Kahn of Berkeley was the matron of honor and the bridesmaids were Miss Eileen Lindblad of Berkeley and Miss Elizabeth Kelley of Oakland. They were dressed alike in blue satin gowns, princess style, and Juliet caps of pearls. They carried old-fashioned clusters of cyclamen and forget-me-nots.The bride’s mother was gownedin soldier blue crepe, with navy blue accessories and a corsage of red begonias.William J. Lindblad, young brother of the bride, and a cousin, Richard Erving, served as altar boys.Bill Ryerson of Piedmont was best man and the ushers were Ralph Countryman of Piedmont, Walter Countryman of Fort Ord, Robert Noyes of Berkeley andMelvin Wood of Piedmont. Thebride was given in marriage byher father. “Ava Maria” was sung by Raymond Hammond, accompanied by Mrs. J. Moore at the organ. Pink and white chrysanthemums decorated the Lindblad home for the reception which followed.After a honeymoon trip to Carmel the couple will live in Tacoma, Wash. The bride was an honor student at the University of California where she received her degree in May. Mr. Countryman, a graduate with the same class, was active in the Little Theater, and is now employed as a civil engineer. He is the son of Russel L.
