November 20, 1925ROHRER-BORMANBRIDE’S GOWN SPECIALLY EM-BROIDERED BY DISTANTISLANDERSMiss Evelyn Cosette Rohrer, daughter of Mr. and .Mrs. Clarence E. Rohrer, 209 Wesley avenue, and Richard G. Borman, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Borman, 818 North Kenilworth avenue, were married in the beautifully decorated drawing room of the bride’s homeWednesday evening, November 18, at 8 o’clock. Bronze chrysanthemums and. salmon roses decorated the living room, yellow calendulas being used in the sun room. The marriage service was read by Rev. George Grether of Verona, Wisconsin, an uncle of the bride, in the presence of about forty guests, who were members of the family and intimate friends. Miss Sallie R. Radfield played the wedding march from Lohengrin as the party entered and softly during the reading of the ceremony, “Love’s Greeting,” by Elgar. A reception followed the ceremony at which a two-course luncheon was served in the dining room, which had been decorated with pink roses.The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of elaborately hand embroidered net over apricot silk. The dress had been made specially for the occasion by the skilled workers of the Philippine Islands and brought to her by her uncle. Her shower bouquet was of bride’s roses, sweet peas and lilies of the valley.The bride’s only attendant was her little flower girl, Marjorie Ann Doke, w’ho was dressed in white and carried a basket of pink chrysanthemums.Mr. Borman and his bride are honeymooning in the east and will be at home after December 1 at 476 North Austin boulevard.Among the out-of-town guests present at the wedding were: Miss Ruth Brumbaugh of Elkhart, Indiana, Guy M. Rohrer of Iliolo, Philippine Islands, and Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Brumbaugh and J. Brumbaugh of Wilmette.Miss Rohrer was the happy recipient of a number of lovely pre-nuptial parties, among them being: a miscellaneous shower November 9, given by Miss Ruby Borman at her home, 818 Kenilworth avenue; luncheon on November 12 by Mrs. Victor Bedingfield of 221 South Lombard avenue; and a luncheon and kitchen shower on November 13 by Mrs. George Doke at her home, 327 South ScovilJe avenue.
