Esther LaVerne Powell To Wed Mickous Wright—Mr. and Mrs. U. A. Powell of Thomasville, announce the engagement of their daughter, Esther LaVerne, to Mickous Willard Wright of Bonifay, Fla. The wedding will be an event of December 25 at the Dawson St. Methodist church in Thomasville at four p. m.Miss Powell is a graduate of the P. K. Yonge Laboratory School in Gainesville, Fla. She attended theUniversity of Tennessee and is attending Florida State University • at the present.Miss Powell was secretary of the Girls’ Service League, art editor of the “Baby Gator”, and 00-art editor of the “Youngster,” and member of the P. K. Yange choir at Gainesville.Mr. Wright graduated from Holmes county high school and attended the Florida State University.In high school, Mr. Wright was active in basketball and football, and was president of his senior class and student council He sered two and a half years in the United States Navy.
