Reveal Marriage of May-MalmquistAt a luncheon Saturday evening,; Mrs. Nellie May of Cherry, announ-j ced the marriage of her daughter, Iva, to Kenneth Malmquist, son of; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Malmquist who j reside near Spring Valley, which took j place on November 22, 1941, in the First Baptist church at Freeport, the ; Rev. White, pastor, officiating at the | ceremony.Mrs. M. C. Odle, Jr., Orient, Illinois, a close friend of the bride, served as the attendant, and I’aul Repka, Freeport, and formerly of Spring Valley and brother-in-law of the bride, served as best man.The bride chose for her wedding a I street-length dress of cinnamon color- j ed wool with which she wore matching accessories. Her corsage was of sweetheart roses, sweet peas andj baby’s breath. Mrs. Odle veore an olive green dress, with matching ac- j cessories. Her corsage was of Talis-; man roses and baby’s breath.Mrs. Malmquist is employed at the j Westclox, in Peru, and Mr, Malmquist is engaged in farming near j Ladd.Among those included at the surprise announcement party in Cherry Saturday evening were: Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Malmquist, near Spring Valley; Mr. and Mrs. Hillmer Gustafson and children Carl, Richard and Nell Marie, Tiskilwa; Mrs. Mary May, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Meyer, of DePue; Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Hassler and non Earl, Mrs. Barbara Hassler, Wayne Hamer, of near Seatonville; Mr. and Mrs. Harold May and children Harold, Jr., and Darlene, of Zearing; Miss Bertha May, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Repka, and children, Gail and Curtis, of Freeport; Mr. and Mrs. John May and son Richard, of Dal/.ell; Mr. and Mrs. John Nelson and daughter Evelyn Lorraine, of Princeton; and Miss Betty Hamer, of Cherry.
