Pollihan of Silex, was united in manage to John L. Creech, son of Mf^fMj ‘Mrs Hilary Creech of Troy, ’11$'Rev. James Dunftajg factor of the Troy Presbyterian Church and James Williams, pastor of the Silex Curch, officiated at the double ring ceremony, before the al-• tar banked with woodwardia fern and lighted by tall white candelabra. Ferns and white satin bows lined the white carpeted aisle. Mrs. Ross Dirigo, friend of the bride, played the wedding music and accompanied Mrs. Roger Adams as she sang “I Love You Truly” and ‘‘The Lord's Prayer.’Mrs. William Peaael served her sister as matron of honor. Maids were meadames James Richards and Paul Cope, friends of the bride. Little Misses Shelby Edwards and Brenda Brown, cousins of the bride served as flower girls. Steve Mudd, V * friend of the couple, carried the rings on a lace trimmed satin pil-low.The groom's attendants were his cousin James Richards as best man and groomsmen were Paul Cope and William Peaael. Ushers , and candlelighters were ''Mike X?r«ecb, brotiger of the groom and *H5tanle?r Poffman, * brOthdt of ttoe• bride. ;The bride, escorted to the altar and given in marriage by her father, was attired in an exquisite gown of white chantilly lace overtulle, Tha sculptured bodice was A fashioned with long fitted sleeves, jf scalloped neckline and was richly adorned with twinkling irridescents. Wide tiers of net tulle edg*| ed with lsee formed the skirt, which cascaded into a sweep train. Her fingertip veil of illusion was secured by a. queen's crown. She; carried a bouquet of white rosea,; carnations and stelphanitis centered with a single orchid, She wore a single strand of pearls. 'Her attendants wore identical, street-length dresses of bright red. These featured three-quarter length sleeves, sweetheart necklines and slightly dropped waistlines which dippel to V’s in the back. A rustle of taffeta to match the velvet bodices formed the skirts, and matching headpieces trimmed with peprls completed their outfits. They earned bou-' quets of white fuji chryanthemums fringed with red ivy, and red feathers. The flower girts wore frocks of red and white and carried w’hite chrysanthemums.Mrs. Pollman chose for her daughter's wedding w frock of msgenta matte jersey with matching velvet hat and black accessories. The groom’s mother wore a. blue w’ool sheath with matching feather hat and black accessories.Immediately following the ceremony a reception was given by ’ the bride’s parents in the church dining hall which was beautifully decorated for the occasion with streamers of red and white paper and white wedding bells.The linen covered serving table was centered by the four tiered wadding cake, flanked by white candles and arrangements of red roses and white mums. fBoth Mr. and Mrs. Creech are 1961 graduates of Buchanan High school. Mrs. Creech is employed by the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Office and Mr. i Creech is employed by Carp’s Inc.They will make their home in Troy. ,ENTRANCE TESTS FOR PEACE CORPS ANNOUNCEDPostmaster at Troy, Mo., announced today that the entrance test for the Peace Corps will be given Tuesday and Wednesday, November 28 and 29, 1961. j Within a few days information showing the place and time for the examination in our area will be posted on the bulletin board of the local post office, Including stations and branches.If you are interested in taking the test, be sure and watch for complete information at your post office. • »-Acting Postmaster Merrell A.
