Miss Carol Wik And Howard Buchholz WedMarried In Mission Covenant Church In EvansvilleMiss Carol Wik, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Wik, of Evansville, became the bride of Howard Buchholz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Buchholz of Fergus Falls on Saturday, October 24, at 8 p.m., in the Mission Covenant church at Evansville.The Rev. N. C. Noreen, performed the double ring ceremony before a setting of candelabra and baskets of mums. Mrs. Wallace Olson played a program of nuptial music and the traditional wedding marches. She accompanied the soloist, Mrs. Irene Thompson, who sang “Today O Lord” and “The Lord's Prayer” as the couple knelt at the altar.The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white slipper satin. The full gathered skirl foil into an aisle-width train. She had a fingertip veil and carried a bouquet of white mums and red roses.Ardis Wik, sister of the, bride, was maid of honor. She wore a nile green gown and carried a colonial bouquet of white and shrimp colored mums. Mrs. LeRoy Brcnnnman, sister of the groom, bridesmaid, wore a shrimp colored igown and carried a colonial bouquet of white and nile green mums. Both ladies wore rhinestone necklaces, gifts from the*bride.The groom’s attendants were his brother, Everett Buchholz and LeRoy Brennaman, a brother-in-law. Ushers were Billy Nehk and Dale Wahouske,A reception for 100 guests was held in the church parlors following the ceremony. Waitresses were Inga Braud, Margaret Njaa, Marie Jay, Erna Kraft, Lily Svensgaard and Mildred Duwenkocgger. The cake was cut by the groom’s aunt, Mrs. Wm. Nehk and Mrs. Leonard Norenberg, an aunt of the bride, poured. Miss Mildred Bruhn had charge of the guest book and Emalyn Olson, Marjorie and Joyce Wik, the gift table.Mr. and Mrs. Buchholz left for a wedding trip.
