The bride’s parents are Ruth Glass, Lawrence, and Billy Porter, Topeka. The groom’s parents are Ruth Schirmer, rural Overbrook, and the late Anton Schirmer. Maid of honor was Anna Loyd, Lawrence. Bridesmaids were Kim Johnson, Topeka, and Doni Mc Carten Lawrence. Best man was Ray Eckhoff, Lawrence. Groomsmen were Gary Decker, Eudora, and Tim Worthy, Bellevue, Neb. Ushers were Tom Porter, Topeka, David Worthy, Bellevue, and Randy Bohling, Stella, Neb. Ringbearer was Tyler Porter, Nortonville. Flower girl was Sarah Curry, Kansas City, Mo. Candlelighters were Kristin and Erin Curry, Blue Springs, Mo. Music was provided by organist Martina Hess, Clinton, and soloist Sherry Foley, Lawrence. A reception was held at the Lawrence VFW Hall, Lawrence. The bride is a 1982 graduate of McLouth High School and a forklift operator at EE Specialties. The groom is a 1975 graduate of Santa Fe Trail High School, Overbrook, and is a profile extruder operator at EE Specialties. The couple will live in rural Overbrook.
