Campbell-Newkirk Wedding AnnouncedAnnouncement has been made of the marriage of Miss Florence Campbell, of Oak Park, 111., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B, W. Campbell of Plano, Illinois, to Dr. William Newkirk, son of Mr. and Mrs, M. F. Newkirk of Oxford, which took place Saturday evening, November 3rd.The marriage ceremony was re%d by the Rev. George Stewart at the First Baptist church of Oak Park, Illinois, ait 7 o’clock. Miss Helen Jackson sang “0 Promise Me’’ and “I Love You Truly,” preceding the ceremony. The bridal couple eiitered the church to the strains of Mendelsohn's wedding march played by Miss Jackson, They were attended by Miss Betty Ziegler of Oak Park, as bridesmaid, while Mr. Thurston Fei-sted of Chicago was best man.The bride wore a blue velvet dress with silver accessories and carrieh a bridal bouquet of gardenias. The bridesmaid wore a wine colored crepe dress with accessories, and also carried gardenias.Mrs. Newkirk was graduated from the Plano high school and for the past eight and one half years has been in charge of the secretarial department of the West Suburban hospital in Chicago.; Dr. Newkirk was graduated from Oxford high school, and was graduated from the medical department of the State University of Iowa in 1933;’ He finished his • year of interneship at West (Suburban hospital in July, 1934;' ■' Dr. and Mrs. Newkirk visited the J former’s pafents, Mr, and Mrs. M. F. Newkirk a few days before leaving for Oden, Arkansas; where Dr New-kirk is stationed with- the medical department of the United States army.
