GIRARD — St. Rose Catholic Church was the setting for the wedding of Lisa A. Lunich, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Millred Lunich, 7100 Sharon-Warren Rd., Brookfield, and James E. McKenna, son of Mrs. Eleanor McKenna of Liberty and the late George F. McKenna, at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22. Rev. Timothy Kenney officiated at the double ring ceremony. Dana Lunich was maid of honor for her sister, and bridesmaids were Stephanie Lunich, sister of the bride; Robin Hoffman of Highland, N.Y.; and Dorothy Arvin, aunt of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was the bride’s cousin, Leigh Arvin, and flower girl was Megan McKenna of Columbus, niece of the groom. Robert Cekuta served as best man. Ushers were Mark and Joseph McKenna, both brothers of the groom, and Tom Lunich, uncle of the bride. Junior usher was John McKenna of Columbus, nephew of the groom, and ring bearer was Benny Smith, cousin of the bride. During the Mass as a special favor to the bride, the choir of St. Adalbert’s Parish of Farrell, Pa., sang the Polish hymn “Serdeczna Matko (Mother Beloved).” Other selections included ‘‘Longer Than,” “Endless Love,” “The Wedding Song,” ‘Gaelic Blessing,’ and “We've Only Just Begun.” Given in marriage by her father, the bride was lovely in a designer gown of white organza emed with tiffany embroidery throughout the bodice and skirt and the victorian style sleeves. Pearl teardrops ac cented the bodice and her full circle skirt flowed to a cathedral train. Her demi-cloche featured pearl petals and the flowing illusion veil was dotted with seed pearls. She carried a free-form cascade bouquet of white phalaenopsis orchids and white sweetheart roses accented with varigated greens. The maid of honor and bridesmaids wore gowns of red taffeta enhanced with petal em broidery on the bodice. Flutter flounces accented the sleeves and a dramatic extended peplum com pleted the gowns. Their hair was adorned with sprays of red silk blossoms and seed pearls. They carried a single white phalaenopsis orchid accented with miniature red carnations and varigated greens. The junior bridesmaid and flower girl were attired in white taffeta frocks. The bodices were accented with taffeta tucking and a taffeta rose. The junior bridesmaid carried a loose arrangement of miniature red and white carnations and baby’s breath. The flower girl carried an over-sized natural wood basket of miniature red and white carnations and baby’s breath accented with red silk streamers. The newlyweds were honored at a reception at the St. George Social Center, Hermitage, Pa., with 350 relatives and friends attending. Out of town guests included the groom’s brother and sisters, Mr. and Mrs. George McKenna and family of Columbus, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. George Krivan and son of Louisville, Ky.; and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Safford of Cleveland, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. John P. Gilmartin of Pitt sburgh, Pa., the groom’s aunt and uncle; and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Schrader of Tamarac, Fla., friends of the bride’s family. Following a wedding trip to St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands, the couple will reside in Liberty Township. The bride is a graduate of Kent State University with a B.A. in journalism. She is the news director at WOKG Radio in Warren. The groom is a graduate of Youngstown State University with a degree in business administration. He is the manager of Earl Scheib’s Auto Painting in Youngstown. The rehearsal dinner was held on the eve of the wedding at the home of the groom’s mother. Yellville, Arkansas, became so called when a politician named Archibald Yell in 1840 paid $50 to the village of Shawnee Town to change its name. Mr. and Mrs. James E. McKenna
