Evans, son of Mr. and Mrs. James D, Evans of Arimo, exchanged marriage vows at the Logan LDS Temple.The bridal party went to the Bluebird in Logan for a wedding breakfast hosted by parents of the bride. Covers were placed for the honorees, their parents, Mrs. T. Evans, Mrs. Mary Armstrong, Mrs, Curtis Armstrong, Mrs. Janet Armstrong. Mrs. Les-ler Armstrong, Mr. and Mrs. Eli Blanchard, Logan; Charles Guild, Wyoming; Bishop Max Pope, Mr. and Mrs. John Myler. The table was decorated withsmall roses in pink.In the evening their wedding reception was held at the Port-neuf Stake Chape! in Arimo. The bride chose a color scheme of two shades of blue. Added to enhance the setting and decoration of the cultural hall wereParris, featured swans, pink roses and bluebird trim, along with a topping of a miniature bridal couple arranged in a wedding bell of white.The bride wore her wedding gown of silk velvet. The boat neckline, long pointed sleeves and fitted bodice were trimmed with tiny buttons at the back and the sleeves, A floor-length skirl in semi-sheath had side pleats and a chapel tram ex-tending from a softly pleated back piece. She wore a single strand of pearls and earrings, gift of the bridegroom.Her veil in walst-length soft silk net was worn from a pearl-trimmed pill box fashioned of silk velvet. She carried a cascade bouquet of white car nations,Veterans Day Theme Settouches Of autumn colors. Setting for the receiving line was formed with a double wedding ring trimmed with white femj and maple leaves and centered with wedding bells. Tall while wicker baskets at either end held large yellow chrysanthemums trimmed with blue ribbons.Guest tables, covered with white lace over blue, were centered with rose bowls holding blue rocks and floating yellow carnations. Special guest was Mrs. Nellie ClineSteenson, international honorary member.Refreshments were served. The tea was arranged by Dawna Trujillo and Diane Medrud,With FlagsFlags were used to carry out the Veterans Day theme at the Thursday meeting of Ivy Re-bekah Lodge 23 with Mildred Henery, noble grand, presiding.On a small stand were the following flags: British flag used up to 1775, first flag with 13 stars, first Naval ensign flag used in 1775, American flag used Irom 1795 to 1818, flag used from 1818, 48-star flag and 30-star flag.The tables were decorated with flag centerpieces, and miniature flags in gumdrops marked the places.Refreshment chairman, De-Nise Smith, and her committee of Dorothy Smith, Mary Louise Young, Charles and Mabie Moore and Thelma Giesbrecht arranged the decorations.Officers for the ensuing year were nominated, and the program of Eva Hay, new Assembly president, was announced. They were attired in empire dresses and carried bouquets of yellow roses, white carnations tied and trimmed with lace and royal blue ribbon. Mrs. Reed Armstrong’s gown was royal blue satin brocade. Others were fash-loned of tight blue brocade and royal blue crystalline. They wore pill box hats with short veils in colors and materials matching their attire.The bride’s mother chose a dress of pink lace, and the bridegroom’s mother wore a metallic £ wn in deep-aqua. Both had corsages of orchids.Terry Evans was best man for his brother. James Anthony Armstrong, nephew of the bride presented Lhank-you notes to the guests. Assisting were brothers of the bride, Ronald and James Armstrong.The bride donned a blue two piece knit suit and royal blue accessories for her going-away attire.Mrs. Evans, a graduate of Marsh Valley High School, attended Idaho State University Trade and Technology School and Brigham Young University. She is employed .at? Financial Credit Corp. in Pocatello.Evans, also a graduate of MVHS where be was an outstanding athlete, has served an LDS mission in Scotland and two years in the Army in Korea.
