Vingoe-Robinson Ceremony in Lancaster, lt;VirginiaCoronado friends of Richard C. Vingoe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard H. Vingoe of Coronado will be interested in the following account of his marriage which took place October 26, in Lancaster, Va. The article taken from the Rappahannock Record, Kilmarnock, Va., appeared as follows:“Miss Helen Wickliffe Robinson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. Leland Robinson, and Mr. Richard Cecil Vingoe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Henry Vingoe of Coronado, Calif., were married Saturday afternoon at four o'clock in Trinity Episcopal church, Lancaster. The Rev. Frederick Griffith, rector of the parish, officiated. The church was decorated with autumn leaves, white chrysanthemums and cathedral candles.“The bride, who was given in marriage by her uncle, Dr. Maryus Curtis Oldham, wore a gown of white silk net embroidered in pearls over taffeta, the wedding gown of her aunt, Mrs. Oldham. Her veil of illusion was caught with orange blossoms and pearls.“Miss Jean Leland Robinson of Madison College, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and only attendant. She wore a gown of raspberry rose made with wine velvet bodice and skirt of moire and carried .shaded chrysanthemums.“William P. Tompkins of Fredericksburg was Mr. Vingoe's best man and the ushers were Oldham Brillhart of Emmerton and Wilson M. Mathews of Enon, Ohio.“A reception followed the ceremony at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Oldham for the bridal party, the two immediate families and out-of-town guests.“After a wedding trip through New England Mr. and Mrs. Vingoe will live at 4751-21st, Road, Arlington, Va.“Miss Robinson is a granddaughter of the late Rev. Laurence Rousseau Combs, who for thirty-one years was rector of Christ Church Parish, and niece of Mrs. Maryus Curtis Oldham of Lancaster. Mr. Vingoe's home is in Coronado, Calif.
