Miss Amelia V. Shirley, ex-student, was enrolled in the I niver-sity at the time of her marriage, November fi, to Lieutenant Tipton Orren Tate Jr., of the United States Army Air Corps, in Waco. Onlv attendant of the coupleWr'were Representative and Mrs. Eugene A. McNamara of Waco.Mrs. Tate went to Newman Parochial School, St. Mary s Academy of Austin, and was graduated from Austin High School. She attended Bavlor University, where her mother is a member of thefaculty.Lieutenant Tate was graduated from Waco High School, and is a former student of North TexasState Teachers College and Baylor University. He received his flight training at Kelly Field, Ellington Field, and Corsicana Field. He received his commission at Ma'her Field, Sacramento, Calif.,on July 4. He was stationed at DelValle flying field prior to the wedding, but was transferred to Rosecrans Field in St. Joseph, Mo., where the couple will live.
