A large bronze tablet on the Me Donough county court house marks the spot where 70 years ago on Saturday, October 27th, Abraham Lincoln made a speech at Macomb in the campaign when he was acandidate for U. S. Senator from Illinois. During his stay at Macomb, Mr. Lincoln occupied room 31 at the Randolph Hotel, the register of which is now in possession of Prof. Burns of the State Teachers’ college there.
