MR. and MRS. JAMES M. SHOBE (Jileen Wolf gram)Wot(ram - SUeJileen Wolfgram, Garden City, and James M. Shobe, Deerfield, exchanged marriage vows Friday, Oct. 28, in the First United Methodist Chapel. Rev. Max Clayton officiated the 8 p.m. ceremony.Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. William B. Bolin, Garden City, and Mr. and Mrs. Dabney W. Shobe, Colorado Springs.Two seven-branch candelabra adorned with flower sprays decorated the altar, along with bouquts of red and pink carnations, white spider mums and baby’s breath.Linda Carver, Garden City, provided traditional wedding music on the organ.Given in marriage by her stepfather, William Bolin, the bride wore a bone crepe, floor-length gown, with empire waist. Lace panels adorned the front and long sleeves. She wore a lace mantilla veil and carried a bouquet of pink carnations, red roses and baby’s breath.Denise Olomon, Garden City, served as maid of honor. She wore a pink double knit crepe, floor-length gown and carried ruby red carnations and baby’s breath. Terry Butler, Deerfield served as best man.Joe Bolin, step-brother of the bride, lit the tapers. Sheri Roberts, Garden City was flower girl and Gary Ketler seated the guests.The couple was honored by a reception in Wesley Hall of the church, hosted by the bride’s parents and served by the United Methodist Women. Della Singer attended the guest book.Honor wedding guests included Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Crum, Derby, the bride’s aunt and uncle, Mrs. Pam Oviattand children, Denver, Colo, the groom’s sister.The bride is a graduate of Ed W. Clark High School, Las Vegas, Nev., and Mesa College, Grand Junction, Colo. She is employed as a bookkeeper at Schreiber Motors. The groom is a graduate of Mount Vernon High School, Mt. Vernon, Ind., and attended the University of Evansville, Evansville, Ind., and the University of Colorado. He is employed by the cathodic department of Kansas-Nebraska Natural Gas.After a wedding trip to Colorado, the couple is at home in Deerfield.
