MR. AND MRS. JERRY R. WEILERT (Sondra Lee Green)Sondra Lee Green and Jerry R. Weilert exchanged marriage vows October 25 at the First Christian Church. The Rev. Alvin Daetwiler officiated for the 7 p.m. doUble-ring ceremony.Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Green, 1812 Linclon Road, and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Weilert, Rt*. 1.The church was decorated with bronze mums and two nine-branch candelabra, and the pews were marked with hurricane lamps and gold, orange and green bows.Mrs. Lawrence Joyce, Imperial Rt., was organist, Mirjam Rijfkogel, 1903 “B”, sang “Because” and “We’ve Only Just Begun”..The bride, given in marriage by her parents, chose a gown of organza over stain, with chantilly lace forming a “V” at the bodice. The shepherdess sleeves and high neckline also were fashioned of lace, and a sheer ruffle accented the bodice and cuffs and trimmed the skirt. The hemline and chapel train were edged with sculptured chantilly lace, and the veil of silk illusion was caught to a camelot cap of lace and seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of fall flowers with orange rose buds and wood roses, and wore a heart-shaped diamond necklace, a gift from the groom.Rhonda Boles, 603 Howerton, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Theresa Weilert, Rt. 1, sister of the groom, and Glenda Brady, 301 E. Price. Each wore a floor-length gown of burnt orange double knit with ivory portrait neckline.Best man was Larry Green, and groomsmen were Reg Burnett, cousin of the bride, and Willard Cummings, Dodge City. They were dressed in champaign brocade jackets and black pants with gold ruffled shirts.Rhonda and Ross Burnett, cousins of the bride, lighted tapers. Michelle Green, niece of the bride, was flower girl, and Denny Green, nephew of the bride, was ringbearer. Rice bags and wedding scrolls were distributed by Kim Green and Barbie Fuhrman, nieces of the bride and groom.Ushers were Ronnie Burnett and Junior Weilert.A reception followed in the church’s Fellowsip Hall. Assisting were Linda Farnsworth, Loretta Green, Mrs. Dennis Green, Mrs. Mike Green, Mrs. Mike Cooper, and Mrs. Joe Sullivan.Honor guests were Gene Farnsworth, grandfather of the bride, and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Weilert, grandparents of the groom.The bride is a graduate of Garden City High School and is employed as a sales clerk at Surplus Outlet. The groom is a graduate of GCHS, and is employed by Central Equipment Co.After a wedding trip to Colorado, the couple is at home at 1308 St. John.Dr. M. D.
