an arch of .white and green being arranged immediately over the spot where the .bride and groom stood.Reception Afterward.A reception, at which the residents of Hampden-Sydney and visitors attending, were present, was held at the residence of Dr. McWhorter, immediately after. The large hall and front rooms of the house, had been made wonderfully attractive with gorgeous autumn leaves, tastefully arranged, Vases filled with handsome chrysanthemums adorned the -rooms. ' Mhn.v handsome presents were received, and they were arranged in one of the front rooms.Refreshments .were served in the dining room where the wedding cake wag placed on a table in the center of the room. It was adorned with liilies of the valley, in white and green, as were the small cakes which were served. A salad course,, followed by ice cream and cake, was served each guest, the color scheme being carried out in exquisite. taste throughout.Mr. and Mrs. MacIntyre left ateleven o’clock for Washington, and other eastern points, for a honeymoon of a week or longer.
