Edward County, Virginia, in i- j the wedding of Miss Helen McWhorter, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. James Kyle McWhorter, to Mr. Hugh James MacIntyre, of Thomasville, Ga., at the College Church, on the campus of Hampden-Sydney College, on the evening of Tuesday, the ninth of November, at eight o’clock.Rich in historic interest, Prince Edward County and Hampden-Sydney college furnish an admirable setting for so auspicious an occasion. Situated on a hill that towers over the surrounding country, the College still clings tenaciously to the old days, when -• it was founded, bringing with it the memory of Revolutionary events and enriching the setting with the glories of the past. Founded in 1776, the college still maintains the dignity of its majestic purpose and forces upon the visitor the realization of its importance, as it developed with the 11a-I tion, within whose birth year it wasi founded.
