Harmony Class Met In Community RoomHarmony class of the Petersburg General Baptist church met Saturday, October 29 in the Community Room of the First National Bank building. Refreshments of sandwiches and pie were served after Russell Evans said grace. Friday evening, October 14, Preceding the ceremony, Miss in the New Hope General Baptist Florence Barnett played a selee-church. The Rev. Chalmer Burden officiated the double ring ceremony before an altar decorated with white gladioli.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wymond My era of Boonville. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bass, alsotion of bridal airs.Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal sheath bouffant gown of peau de soie, designed with a sculptured bodice. The scoop neckline was outlined in a scalloped bolder of Chantilly lace and the long sleeves taperedto bridal points. A wide panel of Chantilly lace accented the center front of the skirt. Her bouffant chapel length train was designed with deep pleats caught to a narrow waistband with a self bow at the front.Her veil of silk illusion was caught to ah open pillbox covered with matching lace, touched with iridescent sequins and tiny seed pearls. She carried a cascade of white carnations tied with white streamers.Serving as bridesmaids were Miss Debbie Myers, sister of the bride, and Miss Gloria Myers, cousin of the bride. Both wore turquoise satin A-line floor length dresses, small circular veils attached to fabric flowers and carried colonial bouquets of white carnations tipped in turquoise and tied with white streamers.Larry Bass was best man. Serving as groomsman was Terry Bass. Guests were seated by Steve and Terry Bass.The bride’s colors were carried out in the reception which followed in the church social room. The table was centered with a threetiered wedding cake. Serving were Misses Karen Hachmeister, Marilyn Woods and Theresa Eber-hard, classmates of the bride.Mrs. Bass attends Boonville High School. Mr. Bass is employed by Cummings Diesel at Evansville.Mrs. Larry Minnis and son of Aurora spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. James Minnis.
