Holbrook, entertained pleasantly yesterday afternoon. jA company of ladies was invited as 1 a surprise in honor of Miss Emma Schildmeyer, who is to become the , bride of Arthur Hoefer. Each lady took some useful kitchen article for j the birde-to-be. The home was 'trimmed in red hearts, asparagus fern j and chrysanthemums. A love ro- j mance game and fancy work adder to the pleasant, afternoon. Refreshments of sandwiches, pickles, white and fruit cake, and white and pink | ice cream, were served. Place cardsjwere decorated in pink and had also the date of the wedding, Nov. 24, 1910.The company was composed of the bride-to-be, her mother, Mrs. Schildmeyer, and Mesdames Schildmeyer, Hoefer, H.
